Ritterschwemme zu Kaltenberg in Geltendorf

On October 31, 2020 we spontaneously decided in the morning, after unfortunately everything has to be closed again from November 2, to go to Kaltenberg in the Ritterschwemme. They deserve a full 5 points. Oven-fresh crust roast, the beer and shandy great. Be it them Distance rules, the hygiene regulations and, above all, excellent service. We would love to come back.

Unfortunately, that has nothing to do with conscious nutrition - the snack plate only contained meat and sausage products that were very fatty!

Friendly staff, great hygiene, and you can let the children run. Nice.

I've rarely been so disappointed in a restaurant. Service was great. Very friendly everyone. But the food was really not good. Absolutely no taste. Really very disappointing.

Roasted crust very good! Very friendly service. The menu is relatively clear. However, prices are already very high. Especially the beer price ....... completely exaggerated. Therefore only 3 stars.

Honestly? This is a kind of excursion restaurant where the trappings count and you don't expect so much. But then we received a lot more than expected. Very nice, friendly staff and at least better food than in many restaurants. Therefore absolutely recommendable!

Always my pleasure. The area is fun even without jousting, the food in the Ritterschwemme is sensationally delicious. Downside: The information on the Internet is brought up to date too quickly. Friday afternoon we wanted to go to the market, but were very unfriendly from the ZimZum team of the square, although there was no booth at the entrance and it was not evident that it was a private event.

A beautiful beer garden is suitable as a destination for excursions by bike or bike with old trees and a well thought-out menu. In addition to snacks, you will find delicious starters such as bread dumplings carpaccio, goat camambert and salads, cold roasts, snack board and then delicious roast beef, spare ribs, boiled beef or soup or char. A Kaiserschmarrn for dessert or creme brulee or rather apple strudel. If you go hungry here, it's your own fault! Friendly staff and high quality food!

Absolutely great beer garden. Seldom eaten so delicious Bavarian. Prices for this quality top okay. Waiter in a good mood and brisk .. our children also enjoyed it. We'd love to come back and recommend!

We wanted to book a knight's dinner here with a private party. We informed us about the prices personally and in writing afterwards. We were satisfied with the written offer and organized everything and booked the appointment. When we confirmed the booking, a completely new amount suddenly appeared. Suddenly a minimum turnover is required, which has not been mentioned once before. There is never any indication of a minimum consumption. The per capita price rose by € 61, more than double the agreed price. Now the knight's dinner would be as dear to us as many a wedding. Unfortunately we find the whole thing very dubious and unprofessional, so that we unfortunately had to cancel our meal due to this, as well as due to the exorbitant price. It's a shame because so far we have always enjoyed and been guests in Kaltenberg.

The food in the Ritterschwemme is a dream ❤️ So delicious, incredibly fresh and the price-performance ratio is also great. And the Kaltenberger beer is also a real culinary delight. We like to come there. The service is outstanding and we love that it is so dog friendly. Thank you and keep it up ❤️

Incredibly good food, very reasonable prices and the service "Dominik" very friendly, courteous and with his jokes the atmosphere is very nice. Anytime again immediately !! Highly recommended 😊

Such a wonderful place and such good food! Actually, we only wanted to go out to eat in the Ritterschwemme at Kaltenberg on Friday to start a relaxed weekend. Then our dishes were so delicious, the wait staff so friendly and the surrounding area with the medieval market stalls so pleasantly harmonious and relaxing that we refueled our stomachs and hearts again on Saturday and Sunday. We are in Kaltenberg every year. Unfortunately, Corona thwarted us all this year. Pity! Looking forward to next year! Hopefully it will be the same as before.

Super nice beer garden. The service is very, very nice. Food is excellent, but be careful: the delicacies are for 2 people and the price per person on the menu is 14.90 euros. So you pay 29.80 euros for 2 people, which I think is a bit too high.

Wonderful food!

One of my personal favourite places to stop at in Bavaria. Perennially good honest simple food and my no1 Weissbier on its home territory. What's not to like? Sadly all beers have been rebranded with the "Konig Ludwig" tag, but I can see the commercial sense of it. I have my "Prinzregent Luitpold" glasses and shall be hanging on to them. A few more like this, and the monarchist movement should become unstoppable in Bayern. PROSIT!

Echt zu schâtzen! Herrliches Bier und feines Essen in eine sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre. A pearl of a place where you can find gorgeous dark beer brewed on the premises to wash down good Bavarian food in a warm and cosy authentic atmosphere... my favourite local!
